I saw an article on astronomers discovering a free-floating planet without a sun. Just floating out there in space with no orbit; nothing holding it in place. I feel kind of like that. I really think you should go! Like you said it's her first time being a patient, plus I think it will make you both feel better to have each other to lean on. That sound lame, but you get what I'm saying.

It doesn't sound lame at all. When I find out when the surgery is I'll see if I can do it. Short notice trips down to California are a pain in the ass, but if it's possible I'll make it happen.
