So...I'm probably going to fail algebra again. I have no idea what to do! I study everything he gives us, I ask questions, I pay attention in class, I do all the assignments, but I suck at taking tests. Solheim only gives 5 grades, so we only take 5 test. Homework gets no grades, class participation gets no grades. I'm totally in a lose-lose

You wrote that you "suck at taking tests." Maybe that learning center lady could help you become a better test-taker. Maybe she could give you some ideas that would make your studying more effective (by this, I mean make the studying translate into better performance on tests). Have you met with the learning center lady to discuss these problems?
