1. Motion.
He’s gone, and it’s like everything’s stopped moving, so she goes out of her way to make things happen-pounding on the computer keys is just one way to show that something still works.
2. Cool.
He tries to keep her at arm’s length, because he isn’t sure what would happen if she gets too close.
3. Young.
Sometimes he looks at her and thinks how immature she is, but mostly he looks at her and realizes just how much of that is acting.
4. Last.
She doesn’t let her eyes leave him as Mitchell drags her through the gate; this won’t be the last time she sees him.
5. Wrong.
Everything’s wrong with him gone and she can’t fix it.
6. Gentle.
She dies, and when she’s alive again, it’s in his gentle embrace.
7. One.
He’s stood on his won for so long that it would just be easier to keep on going.
8. Thousand.
She spends some of the time in that square counting breaths, but the majority of it she spends thinking about him.
9. King.
“Three kings!” she crows; he smiles at her, and she feels like she’s won twice.
10. Learn.
When he’s off-base and she’s stuck there, she goes into his office and reads his books.
11. Blur.
Her memory is a blur, and the first thing that begins to stick out is his face.
12. Wait.
He had to wait while she was in the Ori galaxy, and now she’s just going to have to wait.
13. Change.
She’s changed, and that’s why he keeps giving her second chances.
14. Command.
“Jackson, Vala, you two go that way.”
15. Hold.
For once there’s nothing in their closeness except, perhaps, sheer terror.
16. Need.
It’s something she needs to do, and it’s not even about proving herself; it’s about what’s right.
17. Vision.
“Vala, I can see what you’re trying to say!”
18. Attention.
She watches him watching.
19. Soul.
She wants to save Tomin, and Daniel, even if he doesn’t know it, wants to save her.
20. Picture.
Sha’re’s picture is a reminder of the way things used to be, but somehow it’s hopeful.
21. Fool.
She’s no fool; she can take care of herself, but she keeps coming back.
22. Mad.
He’d be mad if he didn’t find her attractive, but at this moment, attractive is the last thing he needs.
23. Child.
He takes her instead of the child; later he will say it made sense.
24. Now.
They’ll find him and it will be all right; she’s sure of it.
25. Shadow.
She’s a shadow of herself and it worries him, but then she pulls the mask back on and smiles at him and they pretend.
26. Goodbye.
She doesn’t even have time to say goodbye, and that kills her.
27. Hide.
She hides so much of herself that he can’t tell what’s true at all.
28. Fortune.
She visits a fortune teller, but dismisses what she hears because it won’t makes sense until later, and she’s there to steal something, anyway.
29. Safe.
At the SGC, she feels safe, something she hasn’t felt in a long time; it’s why she stays, well, that, and other things.
30. Ghost.
He once catches himself thinking that Sha’re would approve, then wonders where that thought came from.
31. Book.
“Daniel-” she’s interrupted by a book in her face- “Well no need to say hello to me, or anything.”
32. Eye.
She wouldn’t be able to look him and the eye and say that there aren’t things she doesn’t regret; he wouldn’t be able to, either.
33. Never.
Never again is not something either of them wants to think, but it seems more and more like the truth of the matter.
34. Sing.
Sam’s humming and she’s singing softly and they look at each other and smile.
35. Sudden.
It’s not a sudden thing, and if it had been things would probably make a lot more sense now.
36. Stop.
She really is going to leave, just stop all this before it starts.
37. Time.
She’s changed, but it’s been so slow that neither of the really notice.
38. Wash.
He’s a better pilot than she suspected, what with him being interested in ancient cultures where they didn’t have space travel…sort of.
39. Torn.
If Mitchell hadn’t dragged her through the gate, she would have stayed, which scares her because that’s not something her old self would have done.
40. History.
They have a history that, at this point, they’d probably both like to forget.
41. Power.
Sometimes she feels powerless, and she hates it.
42. Bother.
She doesn’t bother him anymore, which is something he’s barely even admitted to himself.
43. God.
Their experiences are completely different, but they both instantly dislike the Ori, and that has to mean something, doesn’t it?
44. Wall.
There’s so much of herself that she doesn’t let anyone see that it feels to him like it’s a wall that he takes down and she rebuilds.
45. Naked.
When he found her half-naked in his bed, he didn’t know what to think; neither of them want to think about that night again, really.
46. Drive.
“Teach me to drive, Daniel,” she begs.
47. Harm.
She watches as he and Adria fight and thinks that this is somehow all her fault.
48. Precious.
Wealth is the one thing that’s stayed constant in her life-treasure still means treasure.
49. Hunger.
They sit and eat together and it makes Sam smile and look for somewhere else to sit.
50. Believe.
She has to believe that it will be all right.
