The low-down.

So I didn't get the job in the Connection Center(cell phones) because they decided to "go with someone with more experience". Andy turned it down, as everyone except those hiring knew he would(Why he even applied, I don't know).  Anyway, instead of coming back and offering it to me again, Stephanie(the manager over that area)decided to hire someone with experience from outside the store.  Kind of annoying, but overall, not a huge deal.

She hired someone recently.  A girl from the service desk with, this is the best part, no experience selling cell phones.  :|  It pisses me off, not because I wanted the job (which it would be nicer than electronics), but because I was lied to about the reason I wasn't hired.  It's too bad she didn't have the balls to tell me why I really wasn't hired.  I'd like to know.  I know I'm not a people person, so if she had said that, I would have accepted that.  Hell, I accepted the "lack of experience" reason, until now.

The best part is she's now the assistant manager over electronics, too.  I'm not sure what's going to happen with that now.  I can't respect someone who lies to me, nor do I have any interest in working under someone who would does that.

We're having some stupid Madden '06 tournament on Saturday.  They're setting up a PS2 and an Xbox for it.  Our display Xbox uses weird unnatural cables, so Cory(department manager) assumed the PS2 did as well.  He asked me if I had a PS2, and if I would bring the cables for it.  I grudgingly said I would if I remembered (I was probably going to forget).  Then as I was taking something up for a customer, he asked me if I had 2 controllers.  I said I did, then went up front.

I come back, and he says "OK, so you're bringing the cables and controllers for the PS2?"

I responded, "No way in hell am I bringing my controllers."

He seemed confused.

"I'm not letting a bunch of strangers with no respect for other's belongings mess up my shit."

He seemed annoyed, "Fine...that's your choice, I guess."

:| :| :|

You're damn fucking right it's my choice.

Anyway, I showed him the cables on the PS2 were completely standard, so I don't have to bring them.  I wouldn't have anyway, and likely would have said so before I left.  Work stays at the time clock.  The point when I do anything outside of work for work, someone smack me upside the head.

I'm still bored.  And hungry.  And tired.

I think I shall go acquire food.  Then perhaps something to do.  I do not work tomorrow, so sleeping can certainly wait.
