i think children still have the imagination and thoughtfulness that we use to have but i agree that the physical activity is missing. i think part of the problem might be with the way young people view excersise as well as video games. here is a small example: i remember a time when the simple act of crossing the street was not ridiculed if you ran across as apose to leisurely walked across. infact, drivers prefer it if you get out of the way quickly. yet i recently saw a group of kids laughing at their friend because he ran across the street while they just walked across. it seems now if you run anywhere people stare as if there is something wrong with you. as far as games go, i played a lot when i was young but i still couldn't resist going outside on a sunny day. i still can't. it blows my mind how some people can just stay indoors and stare at the tube on days like that.
Korea's funny like that... I really don't know a good time to call because of my odd shifts and weird bosses. I'd love to talk, but being stuck in korea is kinda gettin to me. Coming home in May (hopefully) so I'll see you then.
You raise a very good point. Most of my time now is spent babysitting between 1 and 5 children, ages raging from 9 months, - 4 years. the 3 oldest boys, throw horrible fits when they cant play the X box, or watch spongebob.
2 of the boys are pretty chubby. they never clean their room, or play outside. the most physical activity they can endure, is jumping on the bed beating the crap out of eachother.
the youth of america is fucked.
*missing you*
please come back in may. that would make me happy =)
