friday night fits

I have been walking around the downtown area on Friday nights. Mainly I go there to wait for my roommate to get out of the bar, and see if she needs a ride home. But the secondary reason is to observe the fine citizens of Grand Rapids and their unique interaction with one another

i rode past the drink ultra lounge tonight. i guess on saturday it's a legitimate club. velvet ropes, hip-hop music, class.
rode past three girls sitting on a bench across from mojo's, the screens from their cells phones cast an unflattering light across their faces.
then i rode past the chop house. there was a bride sitting at a table outside talking to friends and she had a big tattoo of a heart on her shoulder.

rode past monte's, too. it was uneventful.
