short canon summary
Ashes was a dragon 700 years ago in scotland. he fell in love with Pamela and they shared a lot. But Ashes was tired of being immortal, so he made a contract with the demon Belial to kill him and let him be reborn as a mortal. and he did this, telling Pamela he loved himself more than her. sure enough, he died, and made her immortal in the process because she touched his blood.
Belial planned all this because he was fascinated by Pamela and wanted to have her for eternity. hence, immortality
Belial showed himself to Pamela and called himself Belus, telling her he'd help her die if she helped him collecting the beads from Belial's necklace. She agreed, and so began her story. (Belial never revealed himself as Belial to her.)
about 700 years later, Belial creates Ash from a gem of his necklace, his own blood and Ashes soul that he'd kept.
Ash meets his surrogate mother when he's four.
Ash doesn't know about Belial's real identity either.
Then Belus shows up in Ash's life, and becomes like his teacher, the father he never had, his best friend, his big brother.
Belus becomes Ash's EVERYTHING.
He's so obsessed with Belus it's ridiculouls.
then one day. Belus just up and leaves, telling Ash he wants to go back to Pamela. He's spent the last 700 years with her and intends to keep doing so. Ash was just another pawn in his game.
so. Ash instantly got jealous at Pamela. Started to hate her with the heat of a thousand flames-yada-yada. Also he has NO idea who pamela is. he's got no memories from his past life
so. imagine Pamela's shock seeing him again. and he's acting as her friend, she's sort of got her feelings for him again, and all he wants is to kill her dead.
make Belus HIS and only HIS.
