Behind the closed door I play with: my lover and his cat. No, not really with his cat. I am scared of cats.
Anyway, there we are: shaded, lazing under the shade of a lonely tree in an open field. My lover lies down on my thigh as we both figure out the Rubik's cube, his cat on his belly and the three of us are listening to the song the leaves are singing along with the wind. No worries, no problems, just calm.
I feel a drop of water fall on the side of the finger which I am using to stroke the corner of my lover's elbow and I look up at the sky the dark clouds traveling towards us, threatening to drench us, no mercy, no mercy.
My lover's cat got off my lover's belly and my lover sits up and three of us huddle under the tree.
The clouds are directly above us, the thunder roars, my lover holds me tight, with his cat between us. The rain descends and we get wet.
My lover stands up, and so do I. He holds me close, and we sway as one.
"Birds flying high, you know how I feel," my lover sings.
Sun in the sky, I know how he feels.
I sink my face in his chest, he kisses me on my head. I love you, I love you, I love you.
And then the rain stops falling, we part a little bit and I look into his eyes, he is slowly disappearing. I watch him dissolve before me till his last smile.
The field is empty. The tree is barren. The cat is missing. My lover is gone.
Is gone, is gone, is gone.
