Derek Hale character study. Man of the awesome bone structure, kitty eyes and weird ears. A lot of fun to draw except for the stubble. Stubble is...unpleasant to draw.

This is gorgeous! I'm always in awe of anyone with any artistic ability. I'm alright at geometric shapes, but anything else? Nope, not happening.

I agree with the earlier comment that it resembles Hoechlin, but I see shades of Henry Cavill in there too. I think it's the jawline and the chin, but maybe that's just me.

Actually, I've reading in my books that everything boils down to geometric shapes in the end, so you should be set on a path of artistic perfection if you do geometric shapes well.

Cavill? You know, you're right. The moment I read this, I can see it, too. Cavill has these really prominent edges of his lower jaw, right? While Hoechlin seems to be more the man of the accentuated cheekbones.
...you know, this is really helpful for me, because I did this study in order to learn, in this case, what facial features are typical to Hoechlin, so I can draw him recognizably when I sign up for the Teen Wolf Big Bangs.

So, by the end of this rambly reply, I want to thank you for pushing me a bit further into the right direction. I learned something here and I'm grateful for that :)

Do you have a teen wolf tag for all your teen wolf art or is there not much tw art yet?

Actually, there isn't much yet. There's this, Stiles and Allison. I'm currently working on an Allison/Derek picture for abiteoffcenter.

With the way things are going on Teen Wolf, I was having a bit of a crisis of faith there. I love where they're going with Stiles but I feel like my baby Derek is being painfully underappreciated. *sniffles*

...so I'm currently in a state of power-pouting? ;)
