Whweeeeeeee! I can't tell you how much joy your art has given me, and how much I've enjoyed working with you!! As I've said before (but won't tire of saying it) I could not have wished for a better artist or better illustrations for my little story - you have enhanced it triplefold!
*Smishes!*
PS sorry about going live before I should have! Doh!
Well, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed working on this. I had no idea that drawing dogs would be so much fun and certainly didn't expect drawing dog!Dean to be so much fun.
Seriously though, your story is inspiring in the very best ways and I had a blast working on it ♥
You know, one thing I love about your art is that you are not afraid of drawing scenes and have a good way to piece everything together. I love the one with dog!Dean on the couch looking at a slightly worried Sam. I gotta say that's exactly how Dean would pose if he turned a dog. I also love Dean sitting up on the table wrapped in the blanket in Greek style... and demon! Brady looks fierce! I haven't read the story, but putting Dean in a dog body is a genius idea. I think he must be a rather grumpy dog who would also love cuddling with Sam...I'll find out after I read the fic. anyway good job! :D Oh also! Border collie is my favorite kind of dog!!! They are like, super smart and would be genius in wrecking your home if you don't divert their attention to intensive training. So Sam really has to spend a lot of time playing with Dean now.
It's funny, because to be honest, drawing scenes terrifies me. I prefer drawing close-ups of faces and that's it. No thoughts about composition or anything. However, I just couldn't not draw scenes for this fic, since amber pure and simple deserved my very best efforts. Hence me attempting scenes ;)
As for dog!Dean on the couch - I have years of practice watching my lazy dogs lounging around. They were inspiring ;)
Oh, bb, these are BEAUTIFUL!! Such crazy DETAIL -- Sam's hair, his ripped jeans in the banner, the zipper of his jacket, the pawprints on Dean's sheet -- it's gorgeous! And Sam's hand in the second piece is a Thing of Beauty TM.
. . . and Brady is sheer perfection. Terrifying and beautiful. LOVE those eyes!
I'm seriously so very glad that you enjoy this. Fun fact here is that the zipper of Sam's jacket or Sam's hair were actually the easiest parts to draw. I just love season 1!Sam hair and simply went crazy. Still, any excuse to draw Sam is a good thing in my mind ;)
Did you get to read the fic in the mean time? Then you'll know why I just had to draw demon!Brady. Amber managed to make demons scary again and I loved that so, so much. Also, new mediums are incredibly fun! Messy, yes, but fun (by the end of doing the Brady picture I must have been covered in a fine dusting of chalk ;) )
Loving these! Dean as a dog is so cute. I'm especially wowed by Sam's jacket in the black-and-white piece. (Such great shading!) I'm also so envious of how well you sketched that sheet draped around Dean. (Fabric folds are always the death of me, so yeah, heh.) Well done! :)
Actually, Sam's jacket was relatively easy to do - but the backgrounds? Gave me nightmares. Seriously ;)
As for the folds - admittedly, I did about three or four sketches until I finally managed to get those....folds done. Did I mention the way backgrounds kill me just a little inside?
