Today in Class

 Today in class we had History, which is now one of my favorite classes. That is because of the instructor, an old Marine named Bud who is both knowledgible and enthusiastic. I tend to agree with you about the perspective thing. I think that it probably has a lot more to do with when the French generals laid down there experiences as opposed to there age exactly.

I am often curious how this effects the us military actually. Vietnam is a war that plays a lot on the minds of this war (though the differences are significant in a lot of way). I find it interesting, (though I am guessing on the generations here.) But you have a government whose politicians became adults so to speak in the Vietnam Era. You have a military thats upper levels seem to have first cut there teeth at the very end of Vietnam or in its direct shadow, and an armed forces composed largely of the first generation not to have Vietnam in it's memory.
