In the onslaught of freakish weather, not much in our little veggie patch has grown thus far except for Kale and Rainbow Chard. This is the first year I have grown them and let me say - fresh kale and chard straight out of the garden and into a brief blanche of gently salted water is my new most favorite thing. I get all speckally and flushed from chard though. Darn niacin flush! I still do it though. Soooo goood.
Kale is amazing in soup. ^-^
