This info may be coming a bit late, seems like Cid filled you in a bit, but so far as I can tell: many people from different worlds have been somehow transported here. It also seems that though a lot of those people have been transported from Cocoon, they have all been transported from different times...it's very strange...

Also, two kind sky pirates named Balthier and Fran seem to have done the most exploring around here. He just posted about this, but uhm, here it is again: careful of the borders of this region, because it is filled with a dangerous Mist (not sure quite what Mist is but it seems dangerous?). There are also dangerous monsters. So please don't go out alone--!

I'll definitely go with you if you need to go someplace unsafe. It's good you know Snow and Lightning already--we're all in this together. We'll find definitely a way through.
