My great weakness is that no matter who wins, I will always look at the photos, the material rendering of unfettered joy -- the wild eyes and crazed limbs and colors and lights, the greatest sustained explosion in the world.

i was listening to the celebrations live through Cadena Ser and Reina introducing all the players was simply LOL and FTW. i loved what he said of Xabi - he could be Johan Cruyff's son. All Spain fell in love with Reina last night, they didn't know! I was like "ha ha, I knew". We knew just how awesome he was and now the world has found out.

As long as we're on the subject of loving more than humanly possible, I watched Walk on Water today and it was like I was stun-gunned to my bed. Eytan Fox is such an incredible filmmaker. I thought it was going to be an exclusively Forman/Maddin week, but the scene from your icon is pretty much seared into my memory, above all else. ♥

What I love the most about Pepe is how much fun he has, even when he's not playing. He derives so much enthusiasm from being a part of the game, and that's really fucking inspiring, as dorky as it sounds.

walk on water breaks me every time. i mean gosh, it's like eytan fox makes his films directly from my mind. when he starts the bubble with bright eye's "first day of my life" i was like OMG GET OUT OF MY BRAINS. but god, walk on water, what a movie. and lior! he is so beautiful!

i love how all the journalists are saying the reina pretty much made the team win the cup cause he is like the father of everyone and he makes the team a group and he is always keeping a good mood between everybody. he is so important damnit.

Ahh, The Bubble is next on my to-rent list. I was going to tackle 9 Souls tonight but I know I won't even be able to pay attention after what Walk on Water did to me.

Hah, I love that Pepe is doing his best to improvise on the celebrations, since the Spanish NT hasn't won anything for an entire generation and they have nothing to go on, really. WHAT IF THIS BECOMES THE BLUEPRINT FOR FUTURE TEAMS. Delicious! :D
