[Welcome, one and all, to the Kimono Dance Theater. It's truly a lovely establishment. There are cushions of the fluffiest sort lining the floor, and the scent of sandalwood permeates throughout the room. But, of course, there is the stage upon which the beautiful Kimono Girls dance ( Read more... )

[After the initial, confused feeling of wait, what is he wearing, Merlin offers Francis some applause.]

What's the occasion?

[France positively beams at Merlin. If he had his usual "powers", there would be a plethora of sparkles to accompany! As such, Merlin gets a halo of the dressing room lights behind France instead.]

Merlin! I am now a fully apprenticed Kimono Girl!

...oh. [He blinks, then smiles more widely when he processes this.] Congratulations...?

Hang on--Kimono Girl?

[France just giggles in a high-pitched, completely thrilled, and utterly manic way, twirling before the 'Gear, which is apparently mounted on something. The long sleeves of the kimono flutter around him.]

It is a most beautiful title for this France!

[Coop's on the road. Again. He looks genuinely amused at the whole thing, but his smile is rather weak.]

Is that a new occupation or a new hobby?

[France makes a grand, flourishing gesture.]

A most beautiful and fitting occupation for this France!

[But then he looks a little closer at Cooper and sobers somewhat.]

Are you alright?

[There's a small amused sound at that - same old France, huh - before he sighs.]

One of my friends disappeared today.

[France's mouth forms a light "o" before he sighs quietly, offering Cooper a sympathetic expression.]

I'm sorry. Were you traveling with them?

[...Is France wearing a furisode?]

France?

[France beams, blowing a kiss and throwing in a wink in greeting.]

Atsuro! It's so lovely to hear from you! Did you see our performance? Wasn't it beautiful?

[He's not used to that, but he figured it's a cultural thing.]

Yeah, I saw it. It's a great performance! But why are you a part of it?

[France's entire expression communicates a deep happiness and more than being a little bit pleased with himself.]

Because this France, as of tonight, is a fully fledged Kimono Girl apprentice!

[One thing that he'd been told to see while he was in Ecruteak was the Kimono Dance theatre. it had taken some persuasion from various parties to get him there, not certain that he wanted such a reminder of someone he didn't really want to think about at the moment, but he did love the threatre and this turned out to be no exception.]

[It's beautiful watching them dance. Different to ballet, but with the same poise and elegance, even with the heavy wooden shoes and restrictive clothing.]

[Even if his gaze is drawn to one figure.]

[He makes his way to the stage door afterwards, a bunch of flowers clasped in his arms. It's traditional after all, to give flowers for someone's first performance.]

[He waits]

[France comes out to the stage door after taking off his make up and changing out of the kimono, having been alerted that there's a man with flowers lurking outside. He pokes his head out before his body follows, touching his manicured fingernails to his bottom lip and leveling England a mock-timid gaze.]

If not for the flowers, I would think you a very creepy man.

[England snorts softly at the comment, giving France a glare.]

Think what you like. And here, just take them.

[He thrusts the flowers forward towards France. Forget finesse or gentleness.]

[France takes the flowers gracefully, lifting them up to his nose and inhaling. If there's one thing that England appears to understand, it's flowers, even if he doesn't necessarily know how to properly present them. He does smile at England now, holding the flower in his arms.]

I am pleasantly surprised to receive such a polite token from an otherwise creepy man.

[Despite the fact that France was wearing women's clothing, China wasn't going to be giving any smart remarks tonight. After all, the other had done a good job on his first performance and China didn't want to spoil his own evening. He gives a clap of his hands.]

Nicely done, aru. I'm hoping that you put a lot of practice into it like the other Kimono girls?

[France makes a flourishing bow, the particular twist of his wrists still utterly European in gesture even with the kimono and make-up.]

Thank you! And they wouldn't have let me perform without what they deemed a proper amount of practice. This is the most respectable theatrical establishment in this place, after all.

I can see it in your efforts, aru. I'll admit that I'm pleasantly surprised... even if you are wearing what seems like women's clothing, but those are such nice kimonos.

[His eyes keep looking all around the theater instead of concentrating on France like they should.]

Of course it's women's clothing! I'm a Kimono Girl; there's no such thing as a Kimono Boy. Women always have much more beautiful clothing, anyhow.

[France watches China closely, noticing that distraction. What is he looking for...?]
