Those ones on the top are numbers, you use them to count things and do math. Those other ones are punctuation, you use them to clarify what you're writing.

They have two symbols on them because if you push another button called "shift" while you push them, they'll make another symbol. For example, if you push "shift" and "1" you get "!", and that's another punctuation.

Does that help?

Were the numbers different where you come from? Maybe that's why.

I'm sure after you study after a while, you'll get a hang of it.

Those symbols... While you can spell and understand the words, those other symbols help construct sentences among other things.

Do you know what a sentence is, Enkidu?

The ones on top are numbers. Do they look like something else in Sumerian?

The ones at the bottom... Um... ...I just learned that you're supposed to use them for typing.

Learning numbers should be a little easier than letters. The count up from 1 to 9, and the last one is a zero.

I don't know what "<" means... But the other symbol is the letter "T" in English.

I'm sorry... I wish I could be more helpful.
