[Background] It’s the night of the Coming of Age ceremony for Oz Bezarius, and the party is about to be crashed by the Baskervilles, whose intention is to seemingly send the boy to the Abyss: a mythological prison where hopeless sinners are sent and can never return. Alice is floating around in said Abyss when she hears the tune of the boy’s recently acquired pocket watch and follows it, appearing to Oz momentarily and then disappearing just as the cloaked assailants bust in. They go about their plan until Alice is forced to intervene as Bea Rabbit just as Oz is about to get skewered by his possessed servant. Though, upon learning that the Baskervilles merely intend to send Oz into the void and not kill him, she promptly disappears back into the Abyss to await his arrival. Oz is cast into the Abyss and not only finds that it is nothing like the legendary prison but that it is also home to creatures that are intent on feeding on his succulent young flesh; and those creatures have no problem finding and attacking him. This time, Alice manages to actually rescue him and follows it up with a small explanation about the place and its inhabitants, her name, and the request to have Oz enter into a contract with her, telling him it will allow the both of them to escape (this was actually her plan all along but no one could tell because she’s crazy). Just as Oz is about to agree to it, the two are interrupted and he’s whisked away by who appears to be Sharon Rainsworth. She explains that Bea Rabbit is the most powerful of all chains and was only going to slaughter him after they contracted. Though he soon finds it isn’t Sharon, but in fact a giant drooling baby head that is, you guessed it, intent on feeding on his succulent young flesh. Once again, Alice arrives in the nick of time and shields Oz, only to get captured and swallowed herself. Oz, feeling like he owes her his life, JUMPS INTO THE BABY’S MOUTH and agrees to form a contract with her. Keikaku doori. She easily frees herself from her bonds inside the monster’s mouth and contracts with Oz, entering his body as she does so and the two begin to exit the Abyss.

At the same time, a group of agents from Pandora are preparing to rescue Oz and free him from the creepy dimension when he suddenly appears right in front of them, wounded and unconscious. The Pandora agents scoop the boy up and take him to one of the Rainsworth manors to recover. Upon waking, he’s introduced to Xerxes Break and Raven, and becomes reacquainted with Sharon Rainsworth. Break sits him down and explains to him just what it is Pandora does: the investigation of the Abyss and the creatures that reside within. Since Oz is what is considered an illegal contractor, Break informs him that they can’t just let him walk away and will be taking him into custody. This, of course, doesn’t settle well with Alice and she takes over Oz’s body, taking Sharon as a hostage in the process. Break had intended to lure Alice out from the beginning and set up a special field to restrict Alice’s movement in preparation. She falls into the trap and after Break knocks her out of Oz and beats her with his pimp cane for a bit, she reveals that the reason she’s escaped is to find her scattered memories and then attempts to attack Break. She can’t do much, as her powers were sealed when Oz came out of the Abyss, and Break easily blocks her attack. Just as he’s about to whack her around again, Oz intervenes and refuses to cooperate if Break keeps hurting Alice. Break concedes and just as they’re about to undergo a discussion, the Way (a portal to and from the Abyss) is opened by Oz’s watch, and a chain crawls out. Break sees this as the perfect opportunity to test Bea Rabbit’s powers and has Raven release the seal on Oz. Bea Rabbit defeats it in one strike and as Oz reaches out to retrieve his watch, one of her memories is played. Break sees this as significant and requests that the two of them work for Pandora as his subordinates. At first, Alice is reluctant to team up, but Break convinces her with the theory that her memories may appear whenever the Way connects and Pandora’s information may prove useful. Alice and Oz are adopted into Pandora and the two are sent on their first assignment.

The two are ordered to apprehend a chain that has been munching on a few too many people lately, and Raven is sent along to watch over them. That night at the hotel, Raven explains to Oz that each contractor has a seal on his or her chest that resembles a clock. As time passes, a needle on the seal moves and once it makes a full revolution, the contractor is out of time. Raven decides to leave out the really important part about what happens once time runs out. He decides to go out and collect info and Oz insists on coming, so the two leave a sleeping Alice in the room and depart. The Chain that they’re after happens to be nearing its end and wastes no time in tracking down Alice, hoping to devour her and gain her powers. It attacks her at the hotel and she unwittingly leads it to Raven and Oz. However, before any serious shit can go down, the seal on the contractor’s chest reaches its last point, and the three watch as the girl is sucked into the deepest levels of the Abyss, witnessing for themselves what happens when a contractor has reached their limit.

The three of them leave town soon after and start heading towards the mansion where Oz’s Coming of Age ceremony took place, in search of more clues. During the trip, Alice and Raven have a nice conversation (read: angry shouting match) over ways to deal with the seal. Raven kindly informs her that the best way to remove the seal would just be for Alice to die, but of course, that’s not an option. The fight goes on until Oz says that he and Alice should just worry about finding her memories, while Break worries about the seal. A consensus is reached and Oz and Alice fall asleep in the carriage as it makes its way to their destination. When it gets there, Oz and Alice start discussing friends, more over, Alice’s lack thereof and belief that she doesn’t need any. Just as she starts emoing, Alice senses the presence of something sinister and gunshots are heard. The two rush to where Raven wandered off to and walk in just in time to DISTRACT HIM from the fight and give his opponent, Zwei, an opportunity to take control of his body. Zwei reveals that Raven is in fact Oz’s little servant Gil, all grown up (though this was rather obvious anyway). Zwei promptly uses Raven to attack Oz and just as Alice is about to run to his aid, she is pinned down by another one of Zwei’s puppets. During the scuffle, Zwei reveals that Oz is the key to attaining the Will of the Abyss, and a threat to the Baskervilles, which is why he was sent into the Abyss. Raven pins Oz to the ground and just as he’s about to pull the trigger, the boy uses super duper Oz-logic and encourages Raven to end his life. Of course Raven’s intense loyalty and unwavering homolove devotion would never allow him to shoot the boy, and he redirects his fire towards Zwei. Zwei is wounded and shocked that Raven managed to break her control over him, and promptly retreats. All three of them recover and Raven scolds Oz for his reckless actions, asking him what he would have done if he hadn’t been able to stop himself. Oz tells him that he was certain he wouldn’t have shot him, because he’s Gil. Raven responds with something about how he’s “Not the Gilbert he knew anymore,” and he’s, “Not good enough,” and then promptly storms off like a distressed housewife. Oz is visibly upset by Raven’s outbreak of emo and runs after him, ignoring Alice’s attempts at speaking with him and leaving her alone. Alice is visibly upset by Oz’s outbreak of insensitivity and awaits his return, lonely and dejected.

While she’s waiting, the Will of the Abyss takes the opportunity to mock and berate her, telling her that she will always be left alone in the end; that she will always be the bloodstained black rabbit. She soon dozes off and is later woken up by Oz, having returned from his emotional discussion. She’s obviously angry with him and he asks if it’s because he left her alone. Instead of an honest, “Yes, you hurt my feelings >:” she delivers a swift kick to his chest, sends him barreling down a flight of stairs, and then chides him for being a sorry excuse for a manservant and leaving her behind. Oz leads her to where Raven is waiting by the grave the two discovered as kids. Upon arrival, the scenery completely changes as another one of Alice’s memories begins to play. This time is a bit different however, as one of the people in the memory turns to Oz and warns him of the presence of the Will of the Abyss. Just then, the memory begins to shatter and fall apart around them, and they’re whisked away to a sort of dimensional pocket of the Abyss. There they find Alice chained to a chair while the Will of the Abyss floats nearby in stuffed rabbit form. Oz requests that the Will let go of Alice, and the Will reacts badly and scrutinizes him, asking him why, even though he knows nothing about the girl, he wants to be with Alice. Oz replies that there’s no real reason, he’s just doing what he believes is right. He then lovingly cradles the stuffed rabbit, right before shooting it in the head with a gun he had neglected to return to Raven prior to the ordeal. The Will is down for the count and the pocket dimension they’re in starts to crumble and disintegrate, returning the three of them to their good ol’ regular dimension.

Alice wakes up in Raven’s home and is promptly greeted by the ever charming Xerxes Break as he pops out from under the bed she’s laying on. The encounter ends with a very disturbed Alice and the destruction of Raven’s property. Break then sits the group down for a bit of a chat. He explains that Pandora has developed a way to contract with chains legally and that as a result some of them do not age. He goes on to tell Oz that the Abyss is considered to be a womb for birthing Chains and that the Will of the Abyss is the core that makes it all come together. The Will holds a vast amount of power and is sought after by both Pandora and the Baskervilles, and Oz’s existence is essential in order to capture it. Being told such a thing would generally have a heavy effect on your average person, but Oz, being the mentally warped child that he is, responds with smiles and sparkles. This leads to a rather serious mood as Break confronts Oz about his oddities, but the mood is quickly reverted by Alice and her eccentricity. Break shifts right back into creep mode and takes his leave via a cupboard, much to the shock of Alice and Raven.

The trio goes out for groceries and due to Alice’s insatiable desire for meat, Raven is forced to go and purchase some with her, fearful of the wrath she will incur upon being denied cooked flesh. The two leave Oz on his own (with Raven’s hat) and go to do a bit of shopping. While they’re browsing the market, Alice asks Raven about his memories, remembering what Oz told her about him being an amnesiac. She asks him what defines a parent and when he fails to come up with an answer she declares that she’ll just ask Oz later. Raven suddenly becomes incensed and orders Alice not to talk about parents in front of Oz. She of course, asks why and he tells her that it’s something a chain doesn’t need to know. Now it’s Alice’s turn to be angry and she basically asks how it can be so delicate an issue to someone so stupid, which only serves to make Raven angrier and he demands that she not insult his master. Alice figures that having a squabble in a perfectly public place isn’t helping either of them and tells Raven that if he tells her why it’s a subject to be avoided, she won’t bring it up in front of Oz. So, Raven tells her the story about how Oz’s dad is a total asshole and thinks Oz is a filthy little brat who should have never existed. The story seems to make Alice rather somber, but before anymore could be said, she smells something rather familiar and recognizes it as Grim, a chain that has recently escaped from Pandora. Alice follows the scent with Raven in tow, and much like last time, the chain finds her first. Grim orders its contractor to devour Alice and please the Will of the Abyss. Alice gets ready to throw down and kick some ass and tells Raven to release the seal so she can deal with Grim. Both Alice and Raven neglect to remember that Oz isn’t with them and turn tail and flee. As they are pathetically making their escape and shouting inane insults at one another, a small girl arrives and attacks the chain. Oz arrives shortly thereafter and after falling from a destroyed bridge, Raven catches him and releases the seal on Bea Rabbit’s powers. Alice wreaks havoc on the Chain, but upon noticing that the contractor is also affected by what happens to the chain, Oz orders her to stop her attack. Being the violent person she is, she refuses to cease her attacks and Oz panics because of his inability to stop her. Just as she’s about to finish off Grim and his contractor, Oz suddenly suppresses her power and she is changed back into her human form and pinned to the ground. Oz suddenly charges towards the contractor and despite the man pulling a gun and firing at him, he continues to demand the reason for the man’s choice to deal with a chain. Upon hearing the reason, however, he suddenly becomes infuriated and throttles the man, before backing off in sudden realization. The man raises his gun again and Raven, having just come to his senses, prepares to fire. Oz dives in front of the contractor and orders Raven not to shoot, but despite this the man is shot in the head and falls to his death. Oz is shocked and begins to lose control of Bea Rabbit’s power, prompting Raven to rush to him to replace the seal, all the while being yelled at for disobeying orders. Raven insists that he didn’t fire and at that very moment, Vincent Nightray emerges from an alleyway and claims responsibility for the fired shot. Despite Oz’s protests, Raven asks to use Vincent’s carriage and the group relocates to the Rainsworth manor.

The next day the trio venture out to recover Raven’s hat, which Oz had lost in all the commotion the day before. An arm wrestling match ensues where Oz is reunited with his Uncle Oscar, Raven proves to be rather obsessed with his hat, and Alice breaks a grown man’s arm. Afterwards, Alice witnesses Raven, Oz, and Oscar having happy fun family times and suddenly feels a bit off and runs away, only to encounter that creep Break in an alley. Break informs her that she should pay more attention to her surroundings and embraces her, just before the two are kidnapped by Cheshire.

[Personality] So very, very tsundere.

Alice initially comes off as an incredibly brash and rude girl. She says what she wants, when she wants, and doesn’t care who’s around to hear it. She does what she wants as well, whether it involves her intense gluttony or her tendency to let her temper get the best of her. She has no problems with threatening people and demanding outrageous things, because she honestly believes she has the power and right to do so, and that people should be in constant fear of her utter badassery. If you pick a fight with her, she’ll fight back; and if you decide to play nice, she’ll still fight back. Though despite the way she treats people, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to say she needs them. She reacts badly to being excluded or left behind and all but develops her own personal rain cloud when Oz pays more attention to anything that isn’t her. In a way, on the outside, she makes sure to let people see Bea Rabbit, the destructive, abrasive nature that gorges itself on meat and enjoys kicking people. On the inside she’s Alice, a lonely girl that wants nothing more than to be paid attention to and to piece together what her purpose is and who she is.

Alice demonstrates a unique naivety in that she doesn’t understand common things like feelings of romance or jealousy but is no stranger to anger and fear. Though if she happens upon something she doesn’t know, she’s eager to learn about it. Most of the time she doesn’t even understand her own emotions, shutting herself off from others or running away when something doesn’t feel like it should. When it comes to discussing how she feels, she plays it down, taking her feelings and turning them into indications of weakness and hesitation. Though that doesn’t stop her from displaying them. She cries when she’s overwhelmed and panics when she’s scared, though these occasions are few and far between. She awoke in the Abyss with nothing but the memory of her name, depriving her of a purpose or even knowledge of her own origin. All she knows is that in everything she does, she is Alice. Just who Alice is escapes her.

[Specialties/Abilities] Alice is most commonly known as Bea Rabbit: the most powerful Chain in the Abyss. She has power, and she knows it, so she has zero issue with threatening the life of any and everyone she comes across. Though if she were to get in a scuffle everyone would just stand by and watch as she made a fool of herself seeing as her favorite shouting match partner, Raven, is in charge of the release of the seal, which holds her power. However, with the absence of Raven’s Chain in Somarium, that might not be an issue.

She basically turns into a giant killer rabbit and tears shit up with a scythe. I'm not sure if there's much more to it than that. >>

[Affection] If you touch her she'll probably bite you.

[Fighting] She likes picking fights she can't win. Usually she tends to kill her opponents in no more than one strike but there's no doubt her power will be very restricted in Som.

[Other Facts] She really likes meat...A LOT
