that's bullshit,, easter is a christian adaptation of a previously existing holiday that celebrated fertility (hence, eggs and bunnies)
it used to be way cooler though, with orgies and bonfires and stuff...

maybe it is not what /your/ family celebrates, but all the non-catholics I know celebrate eggs and bunnies on easter, jesus is nowhere to be found.
