While I can't speak for other worlds, in Auldrant we celebrate the "new year" in the middle of winter, shortly after the longest night. It's a bit different from the way things work here...but regardless, I am curious as to how many other worlds share a similar tradition.

[....Wait, what? That is far from what he expected to see today. Or any day for that matter.]

Why am I included in this?

You're from Auldrant, are you not?

[Have a most pleasant smile] As I said, you may decline if you wish. ...But you are welcome.

[....Hrngh. Surreal.]

Are you honestly suggesting that I'd fit in at a party with a bunch of the replica's friends?

I'm not suggesting anything. It would be nice to have you there, and it's entirely up to you.

[He's been forced into more than enough things he didn't want already, okay? But she couldn't not ask him, and she does want him to come if he thinks he might enjoy himself.]

[ While Natalia is pleasant with her housemates and generally her sweet self, there are moments when she drifts off into thought. This is a Natalia at the end of the story and there are shadows to be noticed in her eyes even now. She is still keeping a slight distance.

Due to Captain Jack's influence, Natalia has a fondness for the bakery, and will be looking up to see Nephry and offer a warm smile. ]

Hello, Nephry. I got your message.

[And Nephry is far enough past the "end" of the story that she might be able to tell Natalia something good.]

Oh, hello. How are you, Natalia?

[Girl give it straight up. I can take it like a man. B) ]

I'm well enough things considered, thank you for asking. And yourself?

I'm all right. It seems we had the same idea, though. Will you be bringing something sweet home as well?

[Apart from Ion a few weeks ago and Luke during the event, it feels like she hasn't really seen as much of the others from Auldrant, given how she and Ginji had chosen to live closer to the main square. I would be nice to see everyone again, even if not all of them were there.

Then again, given how this place worked, it was better off that whoever wasn't here wasn't...

Regardless, she answers the message with slight smile]

That sounds lovely, Nephry.

Do you think so? I hope it wasn't too forward to ask.

I don't believe so. I'd have to ask Ginji to be sure, but it's not like we've really made any plans.

[They haven't been making friends THAT fast... at least not the kind that would override spending time with people from home whom they enjoyed being around.]

I understand that it can be...difficult, to have so many different groups of people, even from the same world, gathered in one place.

I think you've told me about that before. You have a festival of some kind?

Are you referring to something like a solstice celebration?

Yes, something like that.

In that case, our world has something similar, though it's more of a true solstice celebration than one for the new year. It seems to be a common thread throughout different worlds.

But your world...has something of a shorter year, does it not?
