My wife is 28 and just got diagnosed with that as well, do you use a CPAP machine? As far as your fasting are you having a snack before bed? your liver could be freaking out come AM if you are not. If you are then the dr's need to check it out for sure. Do you already take insulin?

I cant believe Mara is that tall! growing up so fast.

Congrats about school thats awesome news!!!

Yep. I've had a CPAP for 11 years now. The doctor actually told me to cut out my late evening snack. even taking insulin, my first morning test is super high usually around 250 even on 65 units. It's stupid and nothing I do gets it down.

Thats about what I was taking too when I had gestational. From what I heard they are supposed to up the insulin if that happens but not everyone responds. I think the most I took was about 90 units and at that point I woke up shaking with numbers in the 60's.

So no snack, well that stinks, I ate ice cream every night and LOOOOVED IT haha. Some nights I had half a PB sandwhich and a glass of milk.

I'm happy to hear the good news about school. The heart issue is scary. I just did some quick Internet research to figure out what it is all about. It looks like it can be worsen by NSAIDs and some diabetes medicine, so does this mean that your doctor has to change your meds? What can you take for your back pain? I know NSAIDs get a bad wrap, but they are effective.

My doctor seriously...did nothing. At all. Told me "intense diet and exercise" is the only solution. Did not say anything about meds, follow up, 2nd opinions, seeing a cardiologist etc. I don't take NSAIDs because I have a history of stomach ulcers when I take them. I take hydrocodone for pain for migraines when relpax doesn't work, but that's about it.
