3x06 - Diwali

Nov 05, 2006 18:51

First, I have to apologize for not having these on Friday. People have been coming in and out of the house and I've been dealing with some stuff with the house I'll be moving to. Next week, I'll try really really hard to get the caps out on time.
Some people have been complaining about my episode recaps, which they say are spoilery. I haven't ( Read more... )

Please please PLEASE put detailed spoilers BEHIND A CUT!

Some of us have NOT SEEN THE EPISODE YET!

I think I've asked you repeatedly.

I'm really trying to be nice here. I'm serious. It's not that I'm mad at you, it's just that I don't think it's my responsibility to keep spoilers away from you. If you haven't seen the latest episode yet, you can easily avoid coming here or reading my episode recaps. It seems that you know that I recap the new episodes the day after (Or in this case, 3 days after) the episode airs...so if you haven't seen it yet, you can come here after you have seen it. If you're coming here to look for other episode caps, you can scroll down past the new episode post to find what you're looking for. What do you do when someone on an LJ has a spoilery icon? Do you repeatedly ask them to stop using it? Or to wait to make an icon from the latest episode until they check to make sure that you have seen the episode? Probably not.
Thanks for the feedback nontheless.

In my experience in other fandoms, it's just common curtosy to keep spoilers behind cuts.

Secondly, I've never seen an icon that gives away an entire episode.

Thirdly, I think it's a fantastic service you do, posting caps in such a timely matter. So it saddens me that I have to de-friend this community.

How long does it take you to read the whole recap? Like...a minute? Do you seriously read the whole thing even though you haven't seen the episode? I don't understand why it's so hard for you to just scroll past it.
I'm sorry to lose you, but I don't think I have done anything wrong.

My opinion, is if you know a website has SPOILERS or episodes you have NOT seen yet, you just may want to avoid that site till you have seen them. Most of the creators are giving their FREE time to create these fabulous screencaps to share with fellow fans, which I am very grateful. The creators are not babysitters here to make sure you do not see what you want them to see. This site is OBVIOUS of its subject matter which should leave the viewer/reader to do what they need to do to be happy.

This journal is #11 on my bookmarked list.
Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much, I agree with you. I think it's pretty easy to avoid reading my recap...just scroll down or something. After the season finale of season 2, I hadn't seen the kiss yet, and I was spoiled by someone's user icon...I don't expect people to stop making spoilery user icons, nor did I complain to them about it. It was my own fault for going on an Office LJ before I had seen the episode.
I really appreciate your comment, I like to know that people appreciate how much hard work it takes to make the caps. :)

It just tells me my download limit is exceeded. I was halfway through downloading them and my internet closed, now I cannot get them.

I'm sorry...I don't know how to fix that. I've never had that problem. :\

Seriously, thank you for posting these! Your caps are always the best. :)

And boo to anyone who defriends you, just because you don't feel the need to hide the summary and recaps behind a cut. In my opinion, as soon as the episode has aired, it's basically read-at-your-own-risk. Otherwise, suffer. *shrugs*

Keep up the fantastic work!
