can anyone honestly tell me the big deal about getting trashed all the time. and a lot of people hate what they turn into when they are drunk. they dont like that they say things to people. they dont like how it makes them feel the day afterwards...yet week after week they go out and get drunk. i sometimes wonder whether if its just because of

Drinking allows you to alter your views on life one sip at a time. Part of the joy behind it is that you can choose how much or how little of it to have, hence the "Gonna get so drunk tonight" vs. "Have a drink with a friend". For some people it enhances the moment and for others it helps painfull or awkward times pass bye. If you want to get deep into it you can start with the indoctrinated attitude of the mature drinker, that being it is something you can't do at a certain age and generally people always want to be older or more mature than they are acessing the benefits of age with the freedom of youth. Likewise drinking and enjoying refined hard drinks has always had a certain maturity to it. So by drinking comes the concieved notions of freedom, the ability to cope with anything which might come your way, and understanding the world arround you (even if is only for a night).

I can't give you anything in the way of encouragement because some people will drink till the day they die and always envibe to excess. It calms down though
