My, I don't think I quite understand. What exactly is this 'Halloween?' Is it some sort of national holiday? I didn't think Discedo was the type for such cheery celebrations.

I'd sincerely like to know more. I've heard mention of it, but I've not had it explained very clearly.

Halloween is a celebration that takes place at the end of October. It's similar to a festival of the dead, in many ways, but most people see it just as an excuse to put up decorations and dress up in costumes. Some people use it as an opportunity to go treak-or-treating in costume, as well.

But- why do people dress up in costumes? What exactly is this- treating?

It used to be that they did so to frighten off demons and evil spirits. In modern times, though, I imagine it's simply because they find it enjoyable. They go from house to house and announce 'trick or treat' to the home's owner, hoping for candy -- the treat -- and that they won't have a trick played on them instead.

What a very strange holiday! Is it really just candy?

Candy-coated demonic pagan lies all costumed up in a night of criminal mischief-making, devil worship, and mockery of the Almighty God.

Oh they say it's just for "fun" and laughs and there's nothing wrong with one night of "sport", but this is the night demons lurk for you to "let your hair down" so they can corrupt you into eternal damnation.

...Oh- I'm very sorry, sir. I didn't realize it was so serious.
