Some days I wonder what i'm doing. Some days I wonder about the "I" that's doing the doing. Some days I wonder if there is an "I" to be doing the doing.

Some days I wish alternate universe me would show up with that punch in the face I'd deliver if I had the opportunity.

Some days are harder than others.

I persevere. More or less.

That wondering feels like no small accomplishment; I as a verb (to steal from a poem I recently read). It's all that can be asked of anybody, I think, and the hardest thing of all. To persevere is to win.

Easier to convince myself of some days than others. Which are, of course, the most important days to do so.
