Really, I'm sort of in awe of people with -actual- problems. There are days I have a hard time functioning, and I'm doing well, by any reasonable standard. If I had something go really wrong, I'd probably be curled up in a corner. Or drunk. Or both.
What I've been told, and try to believe whenever I can, is that headspace problems are also actual problems; whatever makes life difficult, well, makes life difficult. Which isn't to say that practical problems aren't awful, including at a psychological level. Life has multiple, not mutually exclusive ways of fucking you up, and which way(s) it chooses to do it doesn't make things easier or your struggle less deserving of admiration and support.
