Best & Worst Summaries

I was just organizing some stuff and realised something ... I HATE summaries. As in, I really really do not like them at all. Every time I need to write one it goes one of two ways:

1. Super easy and I love them.
2. Painfully difficult and they end up sounding horrible and I hate them forever.

Four months. Oh my god. I'd never be as patient as that. I'd write something awful sooner than mulling about it for 4 months.

By the way your worst summary was a summary I love for a fic I love and I clicked on it as soon as it fell under my eyes so, erm.

To be fair, it might be the four months of deliberation that really turns me off Deja Vu - like every time I see it it brings back the pain of trying to come up with the summary for that fic. :D

I think your summary for Deja Vu actually isn't that bad. But yeah, I have a hell of a time with summaries. I think I've only had one story so far where the summary came to me fairly easily.

Nice to know I am not the only one with summary troubles. It's right up there with naming fics for me. It either comes easily or takes AGES.
