Now, my crossing over social media is almost non-existent. I have a twitter account but it has like ten people who follow it and two of those are my sisters and I use it mainly as a way to keep in contact with my family - not so much for the fandom stuff. I also have a tumblr, but since it has no rhyme or reason to it and I mainly use it as a tool ( Read more... )

I wish I had done that over the last three years of Merlin-reading. So many fics I wish I could find again. I read and read and read (like breathing, yes!) and move on so quickly. It's only hours or days or weeks later when a story is still haunting me, that I think, yes, that one really resonates, I'd like to bookmark it. And either it's impossible to find again, or more likely, I'm just too lazy to go looking for it - so *poof!* it's gone forever.

There are amazing people like Brunettepet, (my hero) who bookmark everything, and remember every plot, and when someone asks, "what was that story about the trouser-legs?" they can magically not only pinpoint exactly what story the person meant, but produce the bookmark instantly. I cry because I wish that was me. Instead, I read and move on, forget, and lose all these amazing stories.

"Because I read fics like some people breathe".. LOL

Me too! Someone said that's the usual state for a Merlin fan? I just think we are spoilt with so much good fics.Your tumblr collection is already one up one me, I just merrily read on and on. The best I can do is the AO3 bookmark and LJ memories.

Ps- I LOVED Oscillate Wildly, which I see is the most recent entry on your fic-dump tumblr. Loved it loved it, especially that scene where Merlin breaks down finally/ gives up and they have the show down in that darkened room.

Have bookmarked for future perusal. No time currently, unfortunately.

On the other hand, by the time that I get there, you will likely have gathered a very nice collection :)
