American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Is apparently an "unforgettable NYT Bestseller", or so the cover tells me.

I read it, I loved it.

You should read it too, if you haven't.

If you liked American Gods, I'd hazard a wager that you'd like anything by Gaiman.

Read it recently, myself. I'm probably going to go after Anansi Boys next, I'm thinking.

I listened to Anansi Boys on CD for my YA class. Not quite the same flavor as American Gods, but I missed getting into my car and having a deep British voice telling me stories for weeks afterward. I can genuinely recommend the audio recording, and I suppose it's probably just as good to read as to hear (but that British accent . . . yum).

Mmm... I don't often go wobbly for accents, but I'll admit, I do indeed share the same preference for British ones that you do.

Oh, by the by, if you recall, I'd mentioned being willing to part with something if I'd not found reason to use it by the time you got back. Would you be interested in it?

I do recall, and when I'm next in a position to borrow it I am certainly still interested. I'll let you know :D
