...hi! I'm Donna, I thiiiiink I'm kinda lost? I'm supposed to be in NYC right now? I was definitely in Bed-Stuy like, five minutes ago.

I have this tiny, itty-bitty emergency - the kind that needs a changing table as of approx. that five minutes ago - so if somebody could clue my ass in, that'd be great! And I would be grateful.

...anybody?

mommy loves you sirja, clueless starring donna duvall voss, this is why we should wear flats

...changing table--you've got a child with you?

Ye-es.

She is not potty-trained yet, so you can see my dilemma here, right?

Yes, I can. Do you require the changing table before the explanation?

Apparently there are cafés around here that should be able to hook me up with a bathroom! I'm looking.

Uhh... if you're near the Fountain, there should be a few coffee shops around that have bathrooms like that.

Fountain, Fountain, Fount-okay, okay, totally got this.

Wheeeere exactly are we. Out of, y'know, casual curiosity.

There's a guide. Let me send it to you.

Here.

The short of it is: we're in a place called the City. It has a big clock underground. That clock is supposedly going to end all worlds. At least that's the theory. No one really knows.

Sticking with the 'crazy' theory so far.

This is completely insane. I'm just putting that out there.

I have not heard of anyone arriving here before with a child, though it pleases me that you did not have to leave yours behind or that it came without you.

Has anyone yet explained the nature of this place?

Thank you! Somebody else said that's kind of new, but yeah, I'm just glad she's with me. (Her name is Sirja, fyi.)

Claire and Wanda kinda gave me the lay of the land, I guess - the guide is...different.

You are most welcome. It is a very beautiful name. What meaning does it hold?

It is very different indeed. I have been here for some time and still do not understand all that goes on here.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn.

You are fucking kidding m no of course he isn't what is my life

It's really nice to meet you, Aragorn!

No one's quite lost here -- you're here in the City. I suppose it's unbelievable, but you're not in your own world anymore.

I'm probably late in telling you all this -- I'm sure you've been shown the Guide, and so forth, so I'll just introduce myself as a resource. I'm Nagarov, and I'm the City's resident mechanic, machine shop owner, all around electronics expert, and cyberneticist. If you need anything mechanical or biomechanical done, I'm the one you go to. I also have adorable cats.

Did I just like, wake up in a scifi or something.

Mechanic, got it! I'm Donna, like I said - what kind of adorable cats?

Hmm, I'm not so sure of the breed, but they're both tabbies, one orange and the other silver.

You're from New York, you say. What year? I know it's still around in my world.

Aw! That's cute.

I live there, close enough! It's 2008.

That's funny, I'm supposed to be in NYC right now, too.

I don't know if funny is the word we're looking for here, buddy, but I sympathize!

So uh...you get the 411 on this place yet? Seeing as you apparently got a bebé to be worried about.

Wanda's swinging by to help me get myself settled, yeah, and Claire hooked me up with the guide. (Baby girl's name is Sirja, she is not potty-trained or at Saying Hi level yet.)
