Horrible in the sense that even though I was prepared and knew that it was going to be really slow, and there was very little dialogue, it was still kind of unbearable. I forced myself into giving it a chance and thinking that I actually cared and was interested, but a little less than halfway through it just got fucking bor-ing. It was a little bit interesting, in terms of the environment and the scenery (I didn't care about the characters) And it was very pretty up to a certain point (before I stopped caring). And I liked how some of the scenes were shot. But there is only so much montage you can watch. And it's just a romanticized story about colonialization, and you know what's going to happen anyway. (which granted weren't my reasons for seeing it in the first place)
No! It wasn't actually Colin Farrell at all. I mean I generally think he's gross, but he didn't do anything to ruin the movie at all! The point at which the movie got tragically worse was after his character left.
Yeah, Christian was just kind of there, nothing special. Not even a reason, I don't think, for a hardcore Bale fan to see the movie (in theaters at least).
