Perhaps a book of fairytales. Or something to tell me about this land. Or anything of that sort, really, I'm not too particular-- and I'm sure this book about getting stains out of clothing is very helpful, but it's not the type of informative I was looking for.

It's neither of those things. It's just something I've heard before- as well as the previous home of a dear friend.

Oh.

You're a far way from it, wherever it is anyway.

Welcome to Mayfield, a brand new cage.

Lovely.

And the nature of this land of Mayfield is one of imprisonment?

Of course it wouldn't be Kansas--but I've determined, from my extensive research [mostly through comic books], that this place is in something called America.

As for the name itself, it's called Mayfield.

I'm familiar with America, Mayfield, not as much. Would you please fill me in on some basic traits, dear researcher?

All I know is that it's apparently some sort of prison that takes away all your powers and forces you to start over from scratch.

It takes your powers? Well, I'm afraid I wouldn't know what you're talking about, unless my embroidering skill is suddenly less than wonderful.

[ He dares to approach her.

Because why is she in his kitchen. It's nearing meal-time and he needs to start cooking something. So he's just going to awkwardly stand behind her. ]

...Who are you?

[Ozma freezes a moment, then removes her arm from the drawer she had been rummaging through. Then in one quick, graceful moment she spins to turn him, offering a smile an a quick curtsy.]

Princess Ozma of Oz. And you would be?

[ Of... Oz? Gilbert stares incredulously, eying her and why is she doing that? He remains where he is, unmoving, expression stoic. ]

...Raven. I live here. [ This is so awkward. Especially considering he hadn't noticed the change of pictures. It's usually best to ignore those...! ]

In that case, I am very sorry to impose on your home, Mr. Raven. [She turns back to the counter, and slides open the next drawer.] I assure you, I had no control in the decision.
