[Absentmindedly twirling a black King in his hand, Lelouch stares at the chessboard in front of him, recalling every move from the game he had with his brother not long ago. After a few moments, he looks to the communicator with a slight smile on his face.]With recent events in mind, it seems as if the fae have been a bit more active than usual, ( Read more... )

[Lelouch had seen her broadcast earlier, but he didn't expect to speak to her soon... or at all, really. She was from a time earlier than he, and this posed quite a problem. He knew her. She didn't know him.

The only way to handle a situation like this was to act as if they were not acquainted at all. This would be the best way to see how much she actually knew and how much she was willing to share.]

Ah, there is nothing ordinary about Demeleier when compared to the lives we left behind.

[A smile]

OH JEGUS LET'S JUST
THINK FOR A MOTHERFUCKING SECOND OKAY.
HOW ABOUT A GIANT HOOFBEAST PRETENDING TO BE MY LUSUS.
NO? WELL WHAT ABOUT A GRINNING ASSHOLE DUMPING A JUG OF SOPOR SLIME ALL OVER ME?
STILL NOT ENOUGH? HOW ABOUT ALL THOSE FUCKING COMMUNAL DREAMS WE ALL HAD, THEY WERE A REAL BLAST. LIKE, SERIOUSLY, I FUCKING LOVED THOSE THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. DIDN'T MAKE WE WANT TO DIG OUT MY THINK STEM WITH THE REGISICKLE OR ANYTHING.
AND IF THAT PILE OF STEAMING MUSCLEBEAST DUNG ISN'T ENOUGH OUT OF THE ORDINARY FOR YOU, MAYBE WE CAN THINK OF ALL THESE LITTLE FUCKERS RUNNING ABOUT JUST BEGGING TO BE IMPALED ON THE END OF A FUCKING SICKLE.

[ She had only arrived a little while ago, really, but had a little bit of time to notice the change in surroundings first. Even if she had fallen asleep on the hay cart and the driver had eventually thrown her off, there was no way she would have ended up in a place with snow. And the communicator and the twigs around her head were also new.

C.C. had browsed through the available feeds already and noticed some.. interesting names, to say the very least (including people - like Lelouch - who were supposed to be long gone), so Lelouch's adress didn't come as much of a surprise. But it's still interesting. Perhaps there were some things she hadn't experienced yet, even after all this time. ]

How impatient, Lelouch.

[ Now the feed switches to video, showing C.C. sitting on the temple steps and idly pulling some hay out of her braid. She isn't exactly clothed for the weather but doesn't seem to care much about that fact just yet. Cheese-kun lies idly on her lap, as if to keep him from being covered with snow. ]

If you don't watch out, people might start thinking you're a stalker.

Don't be foolish. [He smirks] You have sense enough to know that I wouldn't address you on a public connection.

[A pause]

Where are you right now? As soon as I can determine your location, I'll come get you. Until then, don't make any public broadcasts. We need to discuss what we're up against in Demeleier before you open your mouth.

Then you have sense enough to know I wouldn't publically broadcast something all over the place right now.

[ She pauses as well for a slight moment, picking the last piece of hay out of her hair before looking back at the camera. ]

I'm still at the place I arrived at. A stone building.. Maybe a temple of some sort? I'm outside.

Indeed. The fae have an uncanny knack for taking us from the middle of our war, if not from its aftermath. [He smiles. The amusement is dry, his gaze cool.] Perhaps they find us at our most interesting then!

Tea, is it? [His expression almost softens and almost sharpens. He leans idly on a hand.] Clovis was so fond of the idea, wasn't he? It would be an older brother's pleasure.

It seems the fae like to take us from times that are most inconvenient for us, yet provide the most entertainment for them. [A forced smile] Perhaps you're right.

[A pause]

It's a shame that Clovis is no longer in Demeleier. He would've enjoyed having tea with the both of us.

He was enamoured by the idea of a reunion. Demeleier does seem to enjoy bringing us together.

What does my lord consider 'the ordinary', I wonder?

I wonder that, as well.

[A small laugh]

It's hard to define ordinary in a place like this. What would you consider ordinary in Demeleier?

[He smiles minutely, noting the way the question is turned back on him.]

Knowing this place, and others, I am not sure. Such lines are seldom ever clean cut.
