It might have been a while since Lystra met Riku and told Gawain about the boy who was trying to teach himself to fight. At any rate, she's thinking about them both right now, because she promised to introduce Riku to the knight, and really, she's just ridiculously excited about the whole thing

Riku likely turns up soon, carrying a wooden practice sword over his shoulder, coming in from the ballroom, where he's been practicing the crude form he's invented. Seeing Lystra, he smiles and salutes to her with the sword, raising it upright before lowering it. "Hello, Lystra!" he says, happy to see her.
