undirected, ambient sounds in homes and cities generally: they are my torture. the refridgerator, microwaves, hard disks, damned evil energy saving bubls and their constant hum. true and pleasant quiet or silence, for me, it doesn't exist. if this hypersensitivity stuff doesn't quit soon, i'll go insane or my ears will explode.
