So I've just realised there's only eight days until I go on holiday, whereupon I somehow have about two and a half weeks to while away. Steveston area down by Richmond is a small touristy mini-town wharf thing. Great for fish and chips and not much else, really. They have whale tours but they're quite costly.
Downtown area is nice to just wander around but it's definitely more of a shopping experience than anything else...

Me, I like observatories and the uni campus. But I'm biased. :p
Vancouver... there's lots, even if you don't want to shop or drive. Stanley Park and that whole area was already mentioned, and we have other parks (Queen Elizabeth) and places like Science World... depends on what you're into, I guess? Downtown makes me think of shopping, eating and Starbucks mostly, but the beach isn't far either.
