I finished knitting my Austin Hoodie cardigan (pattern by Connie Chang Chinchio).  It took me forever, because I took a break from knitting over the summer and because it's made with fingering yarn.  Now I have to get to work on some gift projects.

Have you tried? it's not hard to pick up. Do you have a yarn store in your town? They will likely have knitting group meet ups, where knitters of all ages gather to help each other and chat about life, free of charge.

Both are super duper cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually bought some yarn to make that hoodie in early October. I haven't even gotten around to taking it out of the shipping bag, never mind actually start to do it. I'm thinking it might be a nice January project. :)

Oooooh!! Hopefully you'll have better luck with the shoulder joining than me. what kind/colour of yarn are you using? Can't wait to see.

It's similar to the pattern piece, in that it's a light denimy blue. I got the same type of yarn as the sample and, to be honest, I didn't find a whole lot of colors with that yarn that I loved, aside from a few dark ones, like charcoal, brown, etc. I wanted to be able to really SEE the sweater so those were no-go. We'll see how it goes. :)

Awesome. I love the look of the original sweater. There's something more elegant about that sweater in a pastel shade.

You are looking so great! Have you lost some weight too?

Love the haircut and the sweater!

Also- the sweater you knitted for Alexander still fits and is coming in handy with this cold spell. (I am missing my camera right now but I will be able to get a picture next week.)

Thanks so much. Yep, I've lost 25 lbs since August, trying to lose more.
I am so glad the sweater is fitting Alexander, I would LOVE to see pics of him in it. or just of him in general.
