Bah, so I noticed a meme going around about reading 100 books in a year and I'm a sucker for book memes so... :[ and because I had no idea wtf this meme was and had to look it up just to figure it out, I'll explain it here to save everyone some time.

ANYWAY, the meme is basically this: A challenge for you (and everyone else) to read 100 books

I saw the Lightening Theif movie and considered reading the books (despite being a little enraged by the "Athena has a daughter" concept) but hmm... I hate when authors do that.

But yeah, I was a little surprised too before they explained how they did it re: Annabeth and how she was born. The movie didn't really bother with a bunch of details, but they bring it up in the books and it actually isn't so much Athena got pregnant by a mortal, it was something to do with the wisdom/ideas of the guy she was enamored with.

I can't explain it at all, but they did a good job working around the 'does not have sex AT ALL' part. xD
