I'm not a member at omona, so I'll have to thank you here for these. Truly valuable service.

I'm glad you found it useful. ♥

I really hope this mess clears itself up soon. It's getting a bit crazy...

To say the least. The situation is horrible and fucked up regardless of outcome and people going off on the basis of half-translated and excerpted comments is not going to help (also, people need to understand jurisprudence before commenting on criminal and civil processes, but that's my pet peeve).

Given Korea's legal precedents wrt to defamation and rape charges there is basically no chance of anything happening that is not heart-breaking.

I know, this is going to be really upsetting for both parties in the end. They're both already culturally screwed -- one for being a rapist and the other for being a victim. Even though I'm Korean myself, the prevalent victim-blaming mentality makes me really ashamed.

Thank you for this.
Even though this entire situation is disgusting & hurtful, your translations are greatly appreciated. ♥ :)

Thank you so much!
Maybe I'm an attention whore, but I love being appreciated. T^T ♥

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for anything resembling definite proof or an investigation, but... that might go on until the end of the year. If I do see anything though, I'll make sure it gets to everyone's notice.

lol, you're not an attention whore at all! People really do appreciate translations. <3 It means a lot. :3

And THANK YOU! I, & I'm sure many others, would really like to hear anything else that comes up on this situation. Thank you once again. :)

I can't imagine not understanding what's going on in my fandom. Foreign fans are so patient. ._. ♥

You're so very welcome! Thank you for your comment too. It means a lot. ^^

I'm glad you found it helpful. I'm just happy people are willing to look and understand the culture, rather than make blind assumptions. ♥

While I don't like people commenting on things they don't understand completely, I can't blame them when there's not a lot of material out there for them to refer to. Just trying to be useful! \o/

(A lot of my friends aren't members of omona because they can't handle the comments. ._.; So I understand where you're coming from. ^^)

awww thanks sweetie <3

oh, i didn't mean i'm not a member of omona cause i can't handle the comments - i check there regularly for news and most of the comments (on the less serious posts) make me lol quite a bit, i'm just not a member cause this journal's new.
but the comments by some people in omona really made me cry; i mean i never thought people could be that insensitive. i feel indignant for some people over in omona even though it's none of my business :X

Oh sorry! I didn't mean to imply that you were out for the same reasons as my friends. ^^; I meant about not being able to comment on posts.

Gods, after today, I don't want to look at any of those comments ever again. While a lot of people did share a lot of insightful information, and their personal stories (which took a lot of strength to recall), I apologize to them for feeling that it's just not worth wading through the muck and mud to reach them again. T-T

It's like secondhand embarrassment, but... shame?

thank you so much for these, i can't express how grateful i am that you're doing this so we don't get any more misinformed than we already are.

I was really hoping this rape scandal could have been false, but it's suspicious how the stories really seem to corroborate =/

I'm just glad that some people are finding these useful. ♥

I'm still hesitant on calling him a rapist (not saying you are, of course), but now I'm quite sure he used to be quite the scumbag in middle school. I hope that this, even if the rape allegations are false, will bring up the topic of bullying back up in Korea because that's a serious problem too.

I love my country, but some situations just make me quite ashamed of some of its aspects. ._.

I'm glad you found them useful. ^^

I'm still waiting on the rape charges, but I'm willing to believe that he was a scumbag in middle school... It's good that all of this got out, all the same. If he was such a horrible student, people need to know, don't you think?

You're welcome! ♥
