It was posted in a random image thread on RPGnet, by someone who I know to be a knitter. I've sent her a PM asking where she found it, and I'll update you if/when she answers.

Okay, looks like she found it on Ravelry, in a discussion thread there. I quote a section of her reply:

the lazy, stupid, and godless group, after learning that knitting is apparently rated more "gay" than anal sex.

If she's not on ravelry already, she really should be. It's... pretty awesome.
