Some of you may very well have seen this on Digg or elsewhere, but I haven't caught it going around until tonight. This video is a 10-minute overview of the lending practices that exploded into the credit crisis. It glosses over a few bits, but is an excellent primer. You're right, it's a good video and it sums up the credit crisis pretty well. It glosses over laws requiring lenders to issue sub-prime mortgages. It also glosses over that those who could pay their mortgages but walked away due to dropping home value could have been helped by better economic education. As long as I can pay my mortgage, I will, because eventually all economies recover and then the value of my home will go back up.

No shit is forever, after all.
