Writing in this blog has become harder and harder and I've noticed the same goes for everyone else (that, or refusal to write). Recently I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out why

thanks for articulating thoughts that have probably crossed many of our minds but haven't been formed or defined into words yet.

if it means anything, i still try to write "about myself," especially when it really really counts (i.e. breakups, the end of a trip/year/semester). only, they're kept "private" out of the same hesitation as you- placing your most personal, and maybe vulnerable, thoughts out for the public eye to scrutinize and devour with meaningless comments that can dilute your most genuine moments.

i hope you keep updating, kevin. it's tedious, but worth it when you can read back on a particular memory years later and still be able to live in that moment.

merry christmas to you too :) i am thankful for you, for mecca, and for the lasting friendships in the midst of constant change.
