now all the patriotic kids on myspace are boycotting pepsi cola because their new can-design contains the pledge of allegiance, without the words "under God." as far as i know, those two words weren't even part of the original and non religious-sanctioned United States pledge of alligiance until the 1950's under the presidency Dwight D.

i think the point they are trying to make is that even if the pledge of allegiance was made in the 50's or whenever it was made, it is a part of america. and i understand alot of people dont believe in god and such, none the less they are the minority and this country was founded on religious beliefs, and as hard as everyone tries to deny it we were. sadly ALOT of things have been changed to accommodate the minority now a days, in which i am in no way meaning this offensively, but still. i mean its bad enough that we have completely taken what the founding fathers written and have made it so bland that it is just a set of rules to live by... and now we cant even have the word god in our pledge, which could mean any god? i personally think that is sad. i like our history... i think its dumb they have to take under god (which is so general) out of the pledge because people find it offensive. i dont understand how it is offensive. i am rambling now tho. lol i love you liz though and this was just a ramble of the way i think, nothing
