The Corner Office

In the great brownie debate that has been raging since 1952 some of us are "corner" people and some are "middle" people.

I am a corner person.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure I never have and never will refuse a brownie, middle or not. It's just that nothing satisfies like that sweet, crunchy corner with just a hint of chewy, delicious middle. ( Read more... )

I remember those freezer brownies, but I don't think the recipe came from Bakers Best; I suspect I got from a Bon Appetit or one of those mags. A nice lunchbox treat I think...if they ever lasted long enough to go into a lunchbox.

Sometimes they made it into a lunchbox. I think you should find or re-create the recipe. Someday it will be a precious memory for your grandchildren.
