Yes. These girls only live in that fictional world of perhaps scantily clad massages and hot, sandy beaches with big long drinks with little umbrellas.
The hell girls do not like long hair *plays with thothendoomclaws long hair* and after the way the girls in the body shop behaved when they saw his hair, I would say lots of girls like long hair.
See, that's what I thought, but apparently (at least according to my brother and my mother and even chilung, which is weird), it's true. Bah. Young people today, eh? No taste whatsoever... *g* :)
Will definitely let you know about Tipping the Velvet as soon as I get time to watch it. Right now it's all about the Sid & Nancy, however... *watches it again*
And as for the clock, would you believe Target? $15, reduced from $45 or something. There might still be some floating around, if you look...?
The Haunted Bookshop tour was really quite fun (apologies for the flist spamming you over it, though :). The guide was kind of melodramatic and over the top, but the stories and places are really interesting and historical and all that. And a couple of them are really unpleasant and rather scary. *g* Very much worth it, though. And I don't think you need to book very far ahead, just call a day or two beforehand. There were heaps of people on our tour. And it didn't rain much! Hee! You should definitely do it, though. :)
You should definitely see Sid & Nancy. It is teh cool.
The clock was one of those no-longer-trendy, reduced things, tucked away beneath a pile of similar clocks in the furniture section, if that helps.
The tour costs around $20. Ish. I think it may be something more like $18 for students, or if you have a group of 10 or more. Well worth it, though. :)
Man, those girls suck. Although I suspect it's something slightly more sinister than that, like the mass-homogenisation of fashion and aesthetics that seems to have happened over the last few years. And the fact that PEOPLE ARE CRAP OMFG! Blaaaah. *stabs society repeatedly*

Really? Holy crap. I might look at my local store, when I work there, which would be this Thursday. Stupid Target.
I'd really like to go, but I think I'd want to go with a few friends. How much did it cost? I'm a bit povo at the moment...
