television fandoms are dangerous things, because they lead to more television fandoms

I feel like I've achieved a grand total of nothing over the last few months. There was so much stuff I wanted to do over the summer, but I don't think I've done any of it. How do you people manage to do this full time work thing and still be productive in the real world? Gah. I feel so lazy!

Back to uni this week, too, and it looks like I might ( Read more... )

uni, tv, existential angst, torchwood

Yeah, a lot of people using PeerGuardian2 (which is a nifty program, I might add) block Telstra users from connecting to them, as Telstra users tend not to seed, what with the whole uploading-1995-called-and-wants-its-internet-back thing. So if you ever have trouble finding seeds/peers when torrenting, that might be the case.

Just found that out yesterday. The moar you know.

Sydney, hey? Well, I know a grand total of one person up there, so I wouldn't really be able to help you out there :)

Ah well. Email me! Only been here 15 minutes and I'm already bored beyond belief...(wrote that as belife, hmm, now that's a cool Romantic poet sounding word...if only most of it didn't suck :P)

Yeah, that's understandable, I guess. Stupid Telstra. I know I minimise the amount of seeding, wherever possible, which makes me a bad communist pirate, but meh. I'm not about to halve the amount of stuff I can download, not at that price. Heheh, 1995. SO TRUE ZOMG.

And yes, I'm playing right into their hands, but whatever. Bittorrent's working okay, doesn't seem to be being blocked, though. Working just fine, thx.

Bah. I'm so bored at work lately. I've actually taken to listening to audiobooks, which seem to be able to occupy the small-child-with-ADD portion of my brain so that the rest of my brain can actually concentrate on work. And not read LJ/all my RSS feeds, which are fraught with, shall we say... potentially inappropriate content?

*hehe* Jekyll is awesome. ... All... 6 episodes... Woe.

And so is The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
I have the first 7 episodes on my computer ... And now Adam's computer, if you have missed them.

Wah, there are never enough episodes of the good shows. Damned British, with their "quality over quantity" nonsense! Bah! (see also: Life on Mars, Torchwood, Doctor Who) ;P

Hmm. I haven't seen the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I've heard... not so good things about the whole making her girly thing. But I'm definitely willing to give it a go. *SUBTLE HINT*

Heh, we should totally catch up and, like, swap media and stuff. :)

I saw half of Jekyll and it was just a bit too weird for me. What with the eating lions and all!

Heheh... you saw the last half, didn't you? Yeah. It... got a bit odd. But I quite liked the whole confused-psychology-creepy thing it had going for a while there... I'm going to give the others a chance, at least. Because, y'know... Stephen Moffat! :P

> who is responsible for not telling me that this Jekyll show that I'd thought looked mildly interesting was totally written by Stephen Moffat?

WotchutalkinabootWillis? *I* blogged about it on Friday before it was on tele just so all my lovely friends would know how unmissable it was! Not my fault you don't read my posts!

Aww... um. Awww-kward... :P

Hmm. Don't know how I missed that, actually. I blame this whole surreptitiously-checking-LJ-at-work nonsense. Hmph.

Sorry! Hee! Thanks for posting it, anyways! I shan't miss an episode! :)

*basks in Stephen Moffat love*

I'm hoping to borrow the whole six episodes on DVD. I'll let you know if I get them.
