So, like, I haven't posted in ages. As usual. Haven't had much time for reading and commenting, either, so don't think I'm ignoring people, just been stupidly busy ( Read more... )

Avoiding A2A spoilers like WHOA! Cos I'm waiting for the last ep and just marathon the whole season.

I'm totally with you on the Dr Who front. There was a... dark side in Nine and Ten that I just don't see in Eleven. And it's that darkness that I love about Ten, and also David Tennant being absolutely awesome. My fav eps have to be the Family of Blood 2 parter cos DT was absolutely completely 110% awesome in those 2 eps.

Now, Amy. Amy I really really like. I think she's my 2nd fav companion. 1st being Donna. :D

Ahh, I'd totally love to hear your opinion of A2A once you've seen it (and it's all aired now, so...)

I'm just distraught because I actually can't download the final ep until tomorrow, because I used up all my downloads! WOE. :/

But yeah, I think Eleven has that dark side, a bit, but maybe we haven't had a chance to properly see it yet. I'm holding out hope, though.

Also, heh, the second part of Family of Blood was the first episode I ever saw of Doctor Who, followed by Utopia. Best introduction to the show ever, those episodes. They're still among my favourites (along with Empty Child/Doctor Dances because I'm a big Nine fan).

And I'm with you on the Donna love. Gah. Donna and Jack are my faves (what?! Jack totally counts!) :D

Jack always counts as a Companion!

Not watching A2A so can't comment on that part of your post. DW? I'm enjoying it so far (and not reading many reaction posts so I can continue to enjoy). I hope you'll start enjoying, connecting with it more but give it a few years, there'll be a new showrunner, new Doctor, new Companion, and maybe that version will grab you. Loooooooooooooonnnnnngggggg time fan here, so I know from personal experience that can happen.

JB on DH? Enjoyed him but wish we'd gotten lots more. Didn't he say he'd get to interact with all of the Housewives? Did I miss it or did he not have any scenes at all with Marcia Cross or Felicity Huffman? Even Teri Hatcher, it wasn't face-to-face. Glad I just zoomed through the episodes and watched his scenes. Bet he had a blast (no pun intended) on the set, since he loves the show.

Hey, did you get to see him last year in "La Cage aux Folles"? If so, how was he, did you get to meet him? Weren't you going to the Hub con? Did you make it there and if so, how was it?

Heh, yes, the reaction posts are pretty good at sucking the fun out of things. Sometimes I wonder if some of the people in this fandom actually like the show at all! :D ( ... )

The new DW season does feel like a different show entirely. I'm holding back judgment so far, but I do like the characters. It isn't as emotional though, true.

As for Desperate Housewives, I thought it was sort of crap. :D

Gah, it was *terrible*, wasn't it? I actually resented *having* to watch it by the end. Oh, Barrowman... *shakes head*

But yeah, I don't know... I'm enjoying the new Doctor Who, and I like the characters, but I'm just not feeling it. Maybe it'll take a season finale, or something overly dramatic like that to totally win me over. :D

Heh, I'm enjoying it, just not as much as the last guy.

But I can't really fault it... except for the part where it's not the same as the version I really liked! :D
