-Yuffie's mother was always sickly. Too sickly to have a kid. For most of her pregnancy, and for the rest of her life after the delivery, Mama Kisaragi was unable to leave her room. This is the only thing about her mother that ever makes Yuffie genuinely sad.
- Yuffie was a really nasty delivery. Though her mother survived, Yuffie had to be raised by a wet nurse. Her mother was dead by the time she was four, and she really only has vague memories of her.
-She ran away from home for the first time at 6. She stayed under the counter in a store overnight. The next time, only a few weeks later, she camped out in a barn in the outlying areas of Wutai for the better part of a week. Her father tried everything, from spanking to screaming to locking her in her room, but there was no keeping her from wandering.
-She left the Eastern Continent for the first time when she was 11, barfing all over the ship she had stowed away on. She stayed away for several weeks, dreading the return trip. Her father sent a pair of journeyman-ranked shinobi to haul her back home.
-Yuffie loves the stray cats, because they remind her of herself. There is an old woman in Wutai who's only and full time job is to see to Yuffie's cats while she's away.
-Even though she doesn't ever stay too long, Wutai is always, always home to Yuffie, and she loves it. The reason she wants to save the world is because Wutai is on it.
-She will punch you in the nuts if you call her the princess of Wutai.
-She hates hates hates long dresses. And make up. And long hair.
-Yuffie doesn't quite have a sex drive yet. A little while before the events of FFVII, she got tired of being a virgin and had clumsy, unpleasant sex with a Wutai boy that only kind of consented. She told him to his face how terrible it was and it took him a long time before his confidence recovered. She doesn't remember his name.
-A couple party members had to stage an intervention when she was forwarding everyone half a dozen chain letters a day.
-Cloud always lets her hold the W-item materia. She uses it when bored. 8)
-Yuffie is very, very protective of her stuff. "Her stuff" includes the entire Eastern Continent and her party.
-Vincent is more "her stuff" than everyone else in the party is. It started around the time the were evacuating Midgard, and was solidified when she took on Rosso and dragged him into Reeve's partyvan. It's very clear that without her, Vincent would just go get himself killed or mope all the damn time. He totally needs her.
-Cloud is at the same time the coolest and least cool person to ever live.
-She hates feeling nauseous, but doesn't mind barfing. Once you've barfed and gotten it over with you normally feel better. This is another way in which she's like a cat. Whoops! I barfed! Moving on! \o/
-She doesn't use it that often, because she knows it's not the strongest, but she doesn't like to not have Leviathan's materia on her.
-After the thing with Nero at the end of Vincent May Cry, Yuffie now does not like pitch black things. She'll sometimes even use a night light. If you comment on this she'll call you a dumbass and hit you.
-She still steals things from the party from time to time. She'll give it back if they call her on it.
-She posts large images without lj cuts. It's why Vincent won't friend her back. :'(
