Now ... I get fed up with America, too. I hate our president and I hate our standards of education, and I hate our crazy evangelical Christian bullshit and I hate all the things that any rational, intelligent human being hates. Of course I do ( Read more... )

I would point out that the failings of the Bush administration are not nessicarily failings of the United States in general....We are a great, free country, that at the moment has for some reason re-elected a dangerous incompetent as our president. It is unfortunate that patriotism has been hijacked by the Bush administration for use as war propaganda---that dissenters feel that they can't wave the flag for fear of being viewed as pro-war, Bush-supporting idiots.

Um, if you read the entry, you'd see I realize it was a joke, and actually found it amazingly hilarious --- because it IS incredibly funny.

The point of the entry was that it's an example of the constant demeaning attitude toward American culture --- and a lot of the time is not a joke, but genuinely rude. And that, as of now, is really grating on my nerves.

So pay attention before you comment anonymously in someone's journal. Thanks.
