I heart my ibook. When I was buying a laptop, they were basically the same specs (12" each), and the shinyness/worse wifi connection, was totally not worth it. Holla.

yeah see i was guilty of the same thing... only i had my G4 quicksilver tower prior to my G3 ibook which was replaced by a G4 ibook cos Nik was good enough to buy apple care in the beginning.

For designers though, it seems like a mac laptop is a good career move, rather than a matter of what's cool. Having my powerbook has definitely helped me with flexibility in scheduling at my design job with RIT, and has also helped me get schoolwork and freelance work done pretty much whenever and wherever. I guess there's the argument of PC laptops vs. Mac laptops, but my whole office right now is Mac, as is the same with lots of design offices, so I guess with a PC you could hit compatibility issues. Merhh, I just don't know what I'd do without mine. :)
