I have Mandarin class every Monday, if you didn't know that already and I always walk through this little section where all these fancy restaurants are, not because I want food, but because the place is so~ pretty~ and romantic.
My apologies for the terrible blurry photo, I wanted to take a picture then realised I didn't have my camera T_T. It turns out I had left it on my desk when I took a selca for my previous post >_>. So, instead I took this with my iPhone which is sensitive to the slightest movement, it didn't help that people at the restaurant were staring me as I took this as well, haha.
The building in front with the tall windows is actually an art gallery, I haven't been to it in awhile, the last time I went in there was for an assignment when I was in College (not University) - they had this graph paper art which was really nifty, I wish I had taken pictures then, it was really interesting.
You can't see it in the photo, but towards the right, there's this really nice cove and little stream of water... very artsy-fartsy looking but it is really pretty and really sets the tone for the place. I'll try to get a picture of the place when I walk through next time~ The area is one of my favourite places to walk by when I go to Mandarin class because everything there is so artsy and pretty, it's especially romantic at night aswell.
I love my mechanical pencil so much~ It makes my Chinese characters look neat and pretty~
Ahaha, I just realised after posting the photo below, that I've been writing Měi = 美 incorrectly (the third horizontal line is supposed to be longer and the bottom half is supposed to be another character). XD No wonder it always looked weird whenever I wrote it.
I despise writing in PingYing. I don't mind typing it out on the computer because the computer can decipher what word I'm about to write and add the tone by itself. I am terrible at remembering the correct tones for the PingYing, I work harder to remember the actual character rather than the PingYing. My classmates hate trying to copy my notes because I tend to only write the characters rather than the PingYing, haha. I only write the PingYing if we have to do a task and say alot of sentences to each other (because then, I want to get my tones right when I say it, haha). My reading, translation and writing is pretty good, it's just my speaking that's holding me back because my tones are usually all over the place, haha.
I should start trying to write a few sentences on here in Chinese to practice.
